Winter days

     We awoke to a snowy world outside this morning. Opened up the back door to let the girls out and cold cold wind blew into the house. Dogs paused in the doorway for a second but then ran outside to do what they need to. Soon they were back at the door with Gretchen barking to be let back in. In they came with Gretchen running in to stand by the refrigerator. Turning her head upwards to the top of the refrigerator for to tell me that the coming in the house snacks were up there. That I was taking my sweet time in getting them for her and her sisser. Who is the one that is trained here me or them. Pearl lets Gretchen do all the talking for the treats while she just stands there looking oh so pretty. LOL.
         I am talking more to them in simple words. I am trying to teach them yawn , stretch , flop (they shake their heads every so often which makes their ears flop) shake.... as in whole body shake.... not paw shake. They have caught on to so many other words without me realizing it. Like backup, up , wait for your sisser, down, car, nite nite, treat, cheese, bone, yummy, no, OK, in , out, up stairs, cushie, cheese, water, etc. Gretchen catches on so fast  and my girl Pearl well she takes all the time she wants for she is not in a hurry. She takes life as it comes to her ...... sometime she will even get up to greet it but mainly lays there letting it come to greet  her.  Life is good. Hugs.
