Coonhound Logic

Coonie logic......... Gretchen comes in from outside I have a treat ready for her. Give her the  treat and what does she do ......she goes to where the treats are kept and ask for one. I guess the one I had ready doesn't count. LOL I normally get the jar down after they come in.... so in her mind the first treat was just a freebie.

Starting the New Year by learning new words.

    We almost didn't make it. Gretchen was in hospital and then had a relapse.   Will post later about that. Now we are all well.
    Gretchie here......Mom is going to be teaching me a lot of new words this year. I am learning the word "cuddle" which I have pretty much mastered  since starting on Friday.  We are going to work on learning 3 to 4 words per month.  I am liking this already. Cuddle, loving, family hug are great words for this dog to know.
   Pearl here..... I am learning also but not as fast as sisser. Yet, learning just the same.  I am learning the words "look bowl". Wow. it is fun to learn cause mom puts a treat in my bowl. Then tells me "Look bowl". Also "family hug" are my words so far. When I have mastered them mom will add more words for me to learn. Who says you can't teach a old dog new things.
  Hopefully by the end of the year we will have learned between 20-40 words.
