Last night I heard a scratch at the back door ...who was there I wondered ......it was Pearl my girl. It has only taken her 2.5 years to learn to scratch at the door to be let in. LOL Since Gretchen was curled up tight on the cushie in the living room ...Pearl knew she would be out there until I thought she had gone potty which is a long time ...cause she loves to smell everything before going potty. She also has to woof woof at a few things first. So the look on her face when I responded to her scratch was priceless a look of utter amazement that I came to let her in.
Yesterday was spa day for them. I dropped them off at Camp Bow Wow for their 2nd spa day of the year. I don't think dogs need baths all the time. Only in the spring and late fall do mine get baths ummmmm of course they get one if they have met up with a unfriendly black critter with a white stripe up it's back or rolled in something I consider stinky. When I picked them up there were sooo fluffy, good smelling fur balls. Their coats were sooooo shinny with the light reflecting off their backs.
It was a quiet ride home until I turned on to Chicago Dr then Gretchen started her happy were almost home barking. We all got in the house and I put things away. I had a little snack of apple pie. They were pooped and curled up after getting a drink and checking to make sure everything in the house was OK. They spent the early evening curled up on their cushies having some dreams with little yelps and whines every so often . Then before you knew it it was dinner time . Yummy O dry crunches and yogurt. Then off to bed. Such a easy life they live.
Finally found a harness that I can use with Pearl at Critter Cottage in Ada. I was there on a mission to drop off a large pack of paper towels and 3 gal of bleach from Costco for VPC. The girls Aunties Vicky and Nancy's organization that rescued both of them 5 yrs apart. The harness is from EZY dog not pretty for a girl dog but it works that is what really matters. I brought $85 with of stuff for the girls, me and for friends. It all goes for a good cause which makes me very happy.
